Scotland is a two-party country. The Scotland is calling and I must go shirt SNP and the Greens are both registered in Scotland. All others are British parties registered in England. Scotland’s income from taxes is not enough to keep it going. Personal taxes would have to double in order to be able to afford everything. It would undoubtedly try to borrow money from the markets, which would be fine until they had to pay it back. A larger percentage of voters in Scotland voted to remain, but the referendum was held on a British basis and not asked by everyone about the constituent nations’ opinions. In other words, Scottish votes were not counted separately and therefore would not be considered separately.
Scotland will not gain independence because the Scotland is calling and I must go shirt people of Scotland do not want it to. An independent Scotland would not necessarily be allowed to join the EU, but if it ever did, you can be sure that the EU would be chasing Scottish fish. I could imagine that parties like the SNP split after independence and Scotland would probably use it PR, so there would be many parties that reflect the full range of views (unlike the rest of the UK)
